Enjoy the experience of travelling from the lenses of landscape architecture
Landscape architecture includes aspects of art, environment, architecture, engineering, and sociology in the study and practise of designing places of various functions and sizes. Landscape architects and professionals from related fields use their creative skill set to promote human and environmental health in all communities (ASLA and World of Landscape Architects).
We believe the best way to enrich our understanding of the landscape architecture capacity is through seeing and experiencing the shapes and forms of places. The website shares our remarkable learning experience that we manage to capture from the start of our journey till we return home.
Travelling teaches us to embrace good and bad experiences, and it shapes the way we put our perspectives on issues at hands. It also makes us agree wholeheartedly when we stumbled of what was beautifully written by Mark Twain, 'travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness'. We do hope, each of our experience keeps us away from being prejudiced, bigoted and narrow-minded while designing for the environment.
Let's aim for an inclusive development, leaving no one behind!

Rustic look at Nishi-Tengachaya Station, Osaka; where I re-convinced myself that Japanese build things to last, if possible, forever.
As beautifully said by Confucius, 'wherever you go, go with all your heart'. Inspired by his philosophy, we travel with our hearts and soul; seeking the opportunities to see it all and share what we have discovered during our journeys with others. We are the happiest when we travel, as it gives us the openings to learn from the journeys, people and places.
'One's destination is never a place, but always a new way of seeing things' Henry Miller. |
